Located just 30 minutes drive from central Auckland, beyond the end of the North-Western Motorway, is one of New Zealand’s wine gems with a fascinating history. Kumeu's wineries date back to the 1940s when wine families of Croatian origin made an important contribution to the establishment of winemaking in the area. Their influence continues today. With distinctive and delicious wines to sample and take home, as well as excellent local cuisine, Kumeu in west Auckland is a must for serious wine buffs.
