Take in the beautiful Akaroa Harbour and it's spectacular surrounds on this award-winning two-hour cruise in a spacious catamaran. Along the way you'll discover many of the wildlife species that you're sharing this beautiful harbour with. You'll discover penguins, fur seals and abundant birdlife, and find out about Akaroa's fascinating past from your skipper while you're at it. However, the highlight has got to be discovering the rare and playful Hector's dolphins. These dolphins are naturally inquisitive and playful, so you're bound to be captivated by them. Between October and March you will be able to see their calves, too.

profile-picture Ariene Looij Most amazing trip we had january 27th 2011 with Black Cat. We really had a good swim with the Hector's Dolphins. Most amazing thing happened, just when I had to get back into the boat: I was surrounded by at least 5 Hector Dolphins coming from different directions. Most exciting!!
f you don't go the South-Island. Butlers Swim with Dolphins is a good tour on the Northern Island.
