Really enjoyed the walk to the beach - beach has stones rather than sand, and is very atmospheric. We were lucky to go at dusk and see some locals fishing for kahawai at the mouth of the Waitiki River, which was just fascinating to observe (if you're not a vegetarian!).
This holiday park was quite a distance from Oamaru which we didn't realize when booking. However, that meant it was quiet which was nice.
Friendly and helpful manager.
A wee lounge or TV/games room would be a great addition at some stage.
We had a lovely time - lots of space and grass. Lovely new owner who was very friendly and has 2 horses - which made my daughters stay even more special as she was lucky enough to get a ride. Tracks being made now for trekking soon!
We love this campground - very relaxed, friendly and clean. The cabins are a cut above the normal camp cabins and very good value for money.
Good location for caravans.
Really enjoyed the whole experience.
Great place to stay
This site was a bit off the beaten track but was lovely and quiet. It was by far the cheapest site we stayed at during our stay on South Island but also the best value. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the shower in the morning won my vote for best shower of the trip - lashings of hot water and a powerful head.
