Wellington & Wairarapa Regional Information
Wellington offers the hustle and bustle of energetic city life, while in contrast, the Wairarapa has the laidback charm of country living. Imagine sitting back sipping a wine on a clear, moonless night with nothing but the rustling leaves and chirping of crickets keeping you company. How about taking the train through the Rimutaka tunnel from Masterton - one minute you are surrounded by bush and farmland, the next you're in suburbia.
Wellington is a cluster of eclectic suburbs that hug the Hutt Valley and the southern and western coastlines at the bottom of the North Island. Here you'll find the spread out housing of most cities, fringed with housing perched perilously on cliff tops that can only be accessed by cable car. more
