Probably the quietest motel location I've ever stayed in.

Loved the bed we stayed in. Had a great nights sleep.
Cleaner arrived at 9.50am to clean rooms as we were still packing our gear.

I apologise on behalf of the cleaner not waiting till you had left the room before she commenced her duties I have reminded the cleaner of her responsibilities and this will not happen again. Maureen and Mark I hope that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and that you will be back again in the to distant future.

Having the gate into Queens Park enabled us to discover a wonderful park that we possibly would never have known about otherwise.

The very clean kitchen and the plunger coffee made available. the Southland Times delivered(silently) to the door.
Another couple of lines in the informattion book about the motel's facilities on the numbers of the TV Channels not on SKY. E.g TVOne. Prime, etc Also, information about WHERE to recycle plastic/cardboard./glass Couldn't find the bins this time, though a year ago they were clearly marked in the yard.
The bins are sitting right where they have always been. The bins are on the left of the driveway near the reception to the driveway.The recylcable bins have large yellow lids and the non recyclable have red lids. Each bin has information on the lids of whether they are recyclable or not. The compendium now contains the Tv information under Television guide and lists the six Sky channels after the system was digitlized in April.
Very quiet area and plenty of room in unit. Very welcoming and helpful owner.
If letting rooms for a certain number of peoople please ensure their is sufficient chairs, crockery etc for that number. Laundry facilities were closed too early for my needs as we did not arrive until dinnertime. Signage could perhaps be more obvious, perhaps a higher sign as the one on the fence was not immediately obvoius.
Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that there were insufficent chairs or seats available to be used. There has been sufficent crockery in the past, so I am not sure what happened there. Re Signage. The school has priority with their signs, but I do find it odd that you could not see our signs on the fence at the end of the cul de sac. I am sure if you had spoken to us about your needs or requirements we would have attended to them. Thank you for comments. We will take them aboard. Mark and Maureen
Accommodation was excellent. We had a two room unit right next to lovely Queen's park. Best of all was the consideration offered by the owner, Mark- he went out of his way to answer our requests eg shopping, directions and meals This has been the best accomodation so far in one and a half weeks in the southern part of the South Island

Wonderfully quiet, as our unit was at the back of the complex And the view from the kitchen window was SO lovely - all those trees on Queen's Park. Young adult ecologically-conscious daughter was delighted to be able to dry her washing naturally on the line by the garage. All the lovely lotions and soaps in the bathroom were a great luxury to us. The host an hostess were very friendly and answered all our questions.
This is not really a criticism but a recommendation.(didn't know where else to write it) It would have been good to be able to put our recyclables in a shared bin in the yard, instead of cluttering up the floor beside the kitchen bin. We actually put our pizza boxes in the wheelie bin before we read the info about recycling in the motel folder. So maybe a greater emphasis on the recycling objective, with a laminated notice stuck on the kitchen tidy in the unit

good location
the bathroom was very small being long and narrow.two people could not use the bathroom at the same time,The staircase was steep to the point it was dangerous especially when trying to carry a bag and watch your footing at the same time
