The owners could not have been more pleasent or helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend the Birchwood Manor to anyone seeking accommodation in Invercargill.

Was there anything really great about your stay you'd like to share?

A modern complex with great facilities and going the extra mile with the 'small' things (flowers in room, etc). Studio unit was large, and proximity to the city centre, supermarkets and liquor outlets was great. Was the best value for money for our week long holiday and hosts were very hospitable. Fantastic.

Clean and friendly, great location for central Invercargill

I had difficulty setting the heating in the living room, some instructions there could be helpful, it got cold!

Was there anything really great about your stay you'd like to share?

The most pleasant aspect of our stay in Invercargill was the warm, friendly and inviting hospitality shown to my wife and myself from both the hosts, David and Sue. Nothing was a problem to them in helping out. The accommodation was first class, warm, roomy, clean, comfortable and fitted out with all that was needed. Even the morning paper was delivered at the door. The stay was most pleasant more then we expected. We would most certainly recommend Birchwood Manor.

Are there any improvements you would like to suggest?

No improvements needed. All was great. Except it would be good if an Australian Rugby side could win at Invercargill now and again.....just kidding.

the room was above expectation and the managers were more than helpful, wouldn't hesitate to highly recomend

Two large towels for the spa bath would have been nice

The unit was clean and well maintained,

Are there any improvements you would like to suggest?

I booked for 3 adults and 2 children, made up of my husband and myself and our 3 children aged 10-15. The room was only prepared for 4. 4 plates, cups etc and bedding suited to 2 couples and 1 child. A single fold out bed was clearly required by the nature of the booking, it was not provided and never offered.

Thank you for taking time to do a review. After reading your review we can understand the rating you gave. There must have been some mix up with your booking for which we take responsibility. A call to the office would have had those matters resolved in minutes when we would have showed you how to open up the fold out couch or supplied a portable fold out bed and supplied more cutlery and an extra cup.We would love to have you visit us again.
