      Situated in a quiet location with sea and rural views, towards Opua Harbour and the Bay of Islands, is the Bali Hai Motel, currently rated number 4 on Trip Advisor. There are 9 spacious units with queen-size beds, balcony views which are overlooking Te Haumi beach. Standard and superior studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units are available. All rooms have free undercover parking.

      Fully equipped kitchens in 1 and 2-bedroom units. Studios with microwave, toaster, fridge and hob. Each room has FREE WIFI, phone, LCD TV, DVD player (with FREE DVD library), daily room service and a balcony or patio. Superior rooms have new tiled bathrooms.

      Flybuys are now available on any bookings paid for at the motel and Smartfuel is available for all online bookings.

      Guest facilities include BBQ, laundry, outdoor seating, DVD library, free wireless broadband. Courtesy transfer to and from Paihia bus depot. Continental breakfasts available.

      Take a short stroll down to Te Haumi beach and explore the coastal walkways. Walk over the hill or around the coast in to Paihia where there are cafes, shops and the wharf. Tours pick you up at the door to Cape Reinga and cruises around the beautiful Bay of Islands. Why not also take a ferry to historic Russell or visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds during your stay?

      Barbara the owner was so friendly and helpful. Just lovely. I arrived late after a very long trip through some nasty weather and Barbara was just so helpful and friendly. I stayed an extra night so glad I did. Quiet, Comfortable and very clean. Very helpful with information about there area and what to see and where to go. I would strongly recommend Bali Hai to travellers. Thanks Barbara

      Was there anything really great about your stay you'd like to share?

      Barbara was really welcoming from the moment we arrived, she told us all about the local area including trips which was really helpful especially due to the fact that we only had two nights in the area. The view from the room was really good with a great sunset picture which was lovely. .

      Are there any improvements you would like to suggest?

      The only comment which is made as a light sleeper is that the walls seemed quite thin which allowed for some noise to come through.

      A very pleasant motel, nicely located away from the main busy area of Paihia. Our unit, which had been recently refurbished, was of a high standard. It was also nice to have a balcony at the front of the unit, with a ground floor shaded terrace at the back.

      The attention to detail in the room fittings and equipment was excellent. A lot of thought had gone into setting up our room and it paid dividends. Also the welcome and efficiency of Barbara, the owner/manager, cannot be praised too highly.

      Sea views and a wonderful host who could not do enough for you. The price was great and we were just a short walk from the town of paihia.
