Convenient fort he Inter-islander Ferry

Poor parking, even though we were advised verbally that parking would not be a problem.

poor quality of room dilapidated and small for a price over 100$ . Staff is nice and efficient . By the way, we leaving overseas , and spend 2-3 months/year in NZ , with friends or family ,because we like people and nature of this beautiful country, but , since the "rugby's worlds", accomodations prices increase so much as food, that our hollidays budget is not suitable anymore .only car rental stay reasonable ....... most of the time this increase is not justified !

Very old fridge and utensils in the room, not very well working- would need to be changed please.

Having parking in the central city at no additional cost was a real bonus. A wide choice of food outlets are available within 100 metres, and the HongKong Kitchen was great food at a great price within 50 metres!

This is a great little lodge, rooms are very small, but was great for what we needed on a budget.. just somewhere to sleep. Shower was temprimental depending if anyone else was using water at the same time. Again great little place if you are on a budget, and there was the option to upgrade to a motel room for an extra $45 a night. Staff where friendly and welcoming.

Great Location,nice and close walking distance to town.Staff were very nice
Are there any improvements you would like to suggest?
The price of the room was good but the room was very dirty and dusty.The curtains by the bed have mould on them.The toilet seat was gross, the front of the toilet seat was very worn down and peeling,it had discoloured to brown and looked like it had been there for ten years.I dont know why it has not been changed.I work in a hardware store and they are only $10 for a seat!

Motel signage was poor making it difficult to find. Room lighting was very poor. Unequal curtain lengths made room look shabby. Apparently incinerator was located under our kitchen area and opening the window let in a strong unpleasant smell. Parking was very difficult - insufficient spaces, very tight and steeply sloping parking was precarious. Guest milk cartons not provided which was inconvenient. Bath towels provided, but no hand towels. Should inform guests no toiletries provided either.
