attractions include relics of the gum-digger days at the Ahipara Gumfields Historic Reserve, and the
nearby remnants of ancient kauri forests. Ahipara is also well known for its year-round surfing.
Local leisure activities include off-road 4x4 tours, blo-karting, sand toboganning, as well as
Ninety Mile Beach and Cape Reinga bus tours.
