Originally known as Rangitikei, Bulls is the junction town for State Highway 1 to the north and
south and State Highway 3 to Wanganui and Taranaki. Just to the south of the town is the Royal New
Zealand Air Force base at Ohakea, which houses the Air Force Museum.
