Clyde is one of the historic gold-mining towns of Central Otago. The Vincent County Council and
Dunstan Historic Museum, located next to the old stone courthouse, have a collection of items from
the past. The town's charm is enhanced by low rainfall and a sunny climate. A selection of
restaurants, offering the finest dining, can be found in the town. Lake Dunstan, created as part of
the Clyde Power Project, has added new dimensions to Clyde's appeal; pursuits such as fishing,
rowing and boating are all enjoyed on the lake. Clyde also offers golf, bowls, tennis, 4WD touring,
walkways, mountain biking and horse riding.
