Cromwell Information & Services - What to See & Do. If you are looking for comprehensive travel information for Cromwell Information & Services, you will find it here on AA Travel.

If you're visiting Cromwell, your first stop should be the information centre. This will enable you to pick up all the information that you need to get the most out of your trip. i-SITES are New Zealand's official visitor centres, and there are over 80 of them throughout the country. Aside from i-SITES, there are also information centres in most towns and even in small settlements. The friendly staff at the information centres can help you find accommodation, plan tours and activities, and give you that local insight that makes all the difference. Most bookings can be made here for you, and you can pick up maps and brochures to help you plan your visit. These centres also sometimes have souvenirs for sale and internet access.

Cromwell is set in a spectacular landscape of bare brown hills, fertile valleys, pristine lakes and
rivers, and dramatic gorges carved by two great rivers. Located close to Queenstown (50 minutes
drive), Wanaka (45 minutes) and Alexandra (20 minutes), Cromwell offers a range of things to do for
every kind of visitor. Activities for those who wish to explore the area at their own leisure
include 4WD, trekking and mountain biking, vineyards and wineries (at Cromwell, nearby Bannockburn
and Lowburn) and old stone buildings including Old Cromwell Town. Try organised activities, such as
guided fishing trips on Lake Dunstan, golf, snowmobiles, orchard tours, a wine trail, jet boating
the local rivers, or guided tours to historic and scenic sites.
