Hamilton Information & Services - What to See & Do. If you are looking for comprehensive travel information for Hamilton Information & Services including Bank, General and Petrol/Gas Stations, you will find it here on AA Travel.

If you're visiting Hamilton, your first stop should be the information centre. This will enable you to pick up all the information that you need to get the most out of your trip. i-SITES are New Zealand's official visitor centres, and there are over 80 of them throughout the country. Aside from i-SITES, there are also information centres in most towns and even in small settlements. The friendly staff at the information centres can help you find accommodation, plan tours and activities, and give you that local insight that makes all the difference. Most bookings can be made here for you, and you can pick up maps and brochures to help you plan your visit. These centres also sometimes have souvenirs for sale and internet access.

Hamilton grew up around the Waikato River and has become a farming, industrial, financial and
educational centre. There are abundant parks and walkways, especially along the river and beside the
lake where you can take a paddleboat cruise. The Hamilton Gardens has a range of theme gardens.
Cruises and jet boat rides operate on the river. The city is centred around Garden Place, with its
many shops and cafes. Agricultural research is carried out in the city and at nearby Whatawhata. The
National Fieldays are held at Mystery Creek annually and attracts huge numbers of farmers and
visitors from New Zealand and overseas. Enjoy unlimited freedom and the unique landscape of New
Zealand by taking a hot-air balloon trip. Confectionary is popular in Hamilton - there are at least
two confectionary factories with tours. There are two water theme parks in the area, one featuring
hot springs. Relax and experience fine dining in great restaurants.
