Hamilton Motels (Self-Contained) - Accommodation. If you are looking for comprehensive travel information for Hamilton Motels (Self-Contained) including Luxury Motel, Motel, Motor Lodge and Self-Catered, you will find it here on AA Travel.

Motel accommodation is great for independent travellers. If you like to have the option of cooking your own meals, doing your own laundry and having the essential comforts of a home while staying in Hamilton, motels are the best form of accommodation. There is a huge variety of motels all around the country, from the top of the North Island to Stewart Island, and a range of prices to suit most budgets. You'll find motels in main cities, along main travelling routes and near popular tourist attractions, as well as in off-the-beaten-track scenic locations. Most motel units have self-catering facilities with fully equipped kitchens. They also have a phone, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. They have made-up beds with all bedding supplied, and car parking. Breakfast (at an additional cost) can usually be ordered the previous night for delivery to the unit if required.

Hamilton, or Kirikiriroa in Maori, is young, passionate and ambitious. Its energy is reflected in its people and iconic events, including the National Agricultural Fieldays, Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival and Balloons over Waikato.

Hamilton started out as a farming service town, but has grown into a fully fledged city with a university, research institutes, galleries, the Hamilton Zoo and the beautiful Hamilton Gardens.

Hamilton's key landscape feature, the magnificent Waikato River, is best seen from a classic paddle steamer. A commentary will tell you about local landmarks, the region's history and riverbank life.

Hamilton is famous for its themed gardens, including Hamilton Gardens, located on the banks of the river. Year-round you can see fabulous displays of trees, flowers and exotic plants. Hamilton's main street offers excellent restaurants, cafes and bars.

Finding accommodation in Hamilton will not be a problem. Choose from hotels and motor inns with restaurants, self-catering motels and lodges, bed & breakfast and farm stays. Budget accommodation is also available: holiday parks with self-catering cabins, and campervan and campsites, and a youth hostel for backpackers. Pet friendly accommodation is available by arrangement in Hamilton and group discounts may apply.
