Katikati Information & Services - What to See & Do. If you are looking for comprehensive travel information for Katikati Information & Services including General and I-SITE/Visitor Info Centre, you will find it here on AA Travel.

If you're visiting Katikati, your first stop should be the information centre. This will enable you to pick up all the information that you need to get the most out of your trip. i-SITES are New Zealand's official visitor centres, and there are over 80 of them throughout the country. Aside from i-SITES, there are also information centres in most towns and even in small settlements. The friendly staff at the information centres can help you find accommodation, plan tours and activities, and give you that local insight that makes all the difference. Most bookings can be made here for you, and you can pick up maps and brochures to help you plan your visit. These centres also sometimes have souvenirs for sale and internet access.

Katikati has 37 murals and open-air artworks in and around the main street. The Haiku Pathway that
meanders along the Uretara River provides an enjoyable short walk, and the new heritage museum, just
south of the town, is a must-see for those interested in the town's history. Small block occupation
in the area includes lifestyle farming of ostrich, emu, goats and a range of cropping and
horticulture - avocado, nashi pears, kiwifruit, lemons, tree crops, flowers and vegetables. Katikati
has boat ramps and jetties on the inner harbour coastline for fishing and boating enthusiasts.
Outdoor activities include coastal walks, bush walks and Kaimai Forest Park hikes. The bird gardens
are well worth a visit. Take a wine tasting tour at a local vineyard and stay on to dine.
