If you're visiting Queenstown, your first stop should be the information centre. This will enable you to pick up all the information that you need to get the most out of your trip. i-SITES are New Zealand's official visitor centres, and there are over 80 of them throughout the country. Aside from i-SITES, there are also information centres in most towns and even in small settlements. The friendly staff at the information centres can help you find accommodation, plan tours and activities, and give you that local insight that makes all the difference. Most bookings can be made here for you, and you can pick up maps and brochures to help you plan your visit. These centres also sometimes have souvenirs for sale and internet access.

Queenstown town centre has everything within walking distance, including retail shops and over 100
places to dine, with something to suit every taste. Queenstown is renowned for its shopping,
dining and nightlife. Shops often stay open to 10pm and later. With the world's southernmost
wineries there is plenty of award-winning local wine to sample - there are also picturesque and
challenging golf courses, and an array of art galleries to explore. Queenstown boasts adventure in
all forms, from the extreme to relaxed exploration. Here you can bungy jump, jet boat, raft, gold
pan, hike, horse ride, Fly by Wire, ski, snowboard, 4WD mountain bike, rock climb, follow a wine
trail, join a lake cruise or scenic flight, water ski, yacht, ice skate, and play Frisbee golf.
Queenstown hosts the Queenstown Winter Festival (June or July), the largest of its kind in the
southern hemisphere.
