The Information Centre has a 7-day-a-week booking service for ferries, trains and coaches and information about activities including bungy jumping, (the highest in the North Island), the Flying Fox, rafting, fishing, hunting and heritage tours.

Accommodation options in Taihape are self-catering motels, a holiday park (self-catering and campervan/campsites) and a lodge with motel and budget accommodation for backpackers. Pet-friendly accommodation is available by arrangement.
