The magnificent Kapiti Coast stretches along the Tasman Sea from Paekakariki to Otaki with the majestic backdrop of Kapiti Island to the west and the Tararua Ranges to the east. The Tararua Ranges offer bush walking, tramping, 4WD biking, white-water rafting, and kayaking. There are cycle and walking tracks and other activities including horse riding, beaches for swimming and water sports, fishing, flying with the aero club or golfing on some of New Zealand's finest links. New Zealand's capital city, Wellington, is nestled between a dazzling harbour and tree-lined hills.
